jumped over a metal chair and hurt my knee?
okay well today i jumped over a metal chair (the ones that fold) and the top part of the chair (metal part) hit the top of my knee cap/under my knee cap. so then after that, i put ice on it for 20 minutes then off for 20 minutes. it was very red and swollen. i couldnt move it or bend it or walk on it. and now 7 hours later, it is still red and swollen. i can walk on it and bend it a little, but it still burns. should i go to the doctor tomarrow and stay home from school? or should i go to school and after school volleyball. ((its volleyball season))
its very swollen and isnt going smaller, even after ice.
i am just scared if i go to school that i wont be able to walk and it will start hurting half way through the day.
It's always a good idea to get checked out after a knock like that, particularly as it's still swollen and sore. It may just be bruised, but you may also have fracture something. Go get an x-ray to rule that out and no volleyball, until told otherwise
